Taking the girls to Barkley
Taking my wife and 2 girls to Barkley for a few days the last week of march. Thinking of staying at green turtle bay. Love for them to be able to fish from the bank, dock etc. But where to start and what. Willing to drive around LBL. Not done any crappie fishin etc in years. Always bass fishing. The girls want to go a fish like pepa and daddy. Like them to cast a few jigs on floats etc. 4 and 10 is their ages. Please help, what to start with and where. Is Hi vis lines a bad idea? What lb tests, etc. Thanks God Bless.

There are a few spots around the Canal to fish from the bank.
Also, there are some decent areas up around Nichols Creek that you can bank fish from.
Those are both at the top of north barkley and close to where you are staying.

Buy some minnows and take them down to Energy Lake. If they are'nt biting on Energy just walk across the levee and fish Barkley(crooked creek I think). Rip rap on both sides and a really good bank fishing spot.
