how do you define the differance between a sauger and a saugeye
i have read conflicting differences between a sauger and a saugeye so a biologist that was shocking them up wed nite explained it to me sort of. i would like to hear your opinion and then ill post hers.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

you might want to know because theirs a 15inch size limit on saugeye and none on sauger in ky

there in not a significant difference in the i.d. Of sauger vs saugeye. I've studied this myself for many years. The only difference in the two is that the saugeye will sometimes have the white blotch on the bottom of the tailfin ( like the walleyes have. ) while saugers dont. Even then the difference is hard to detect. My advice would be to release any walleye, saugeye, or sauger less than 15'' just to be safe... Good luck!!!
