Taylorsville?
I saw that Taylorsville is 22ft over pool still and I know the only ramp to use will be Possum Ridge. Anyone seen the water the last day or so? I went last Sunday and it was a mudhole/waste of time. Hoping to get back out there but dont wanna waste a trip tomorrow if its still muddy. Thanks.

Re: Taylorsville?
I came over the 248 bridge yesterday on my way to Lexington. It was up, and very muddy. I know last weekend, they had Settlers closed at the top of the hill. I did drive to the State Park (Possum Ridge). It was launch able, but high.

Re: Taylorsville?
Good news is that it has been dropping about a foot a day since Friday.:)

Re: Taylorsville?
Maybe someday the idiots at the corps of engineers will start dropping the lake for the spring rains and help wash out the silted in creeks. This happens every year. Its the same old politics around the lake. Now they suffer when people go spend thier money at the other lakes.:D

Re: Taylorsville?
Obviously you havent seen how high the water is downstream from Taylorsville. There are other towns who are more worried about their homes and businesses staying dry than the economy around a lake that was designed for one purpose only and that is flood control.

Re: Taylorsville?
I think what xring is tryin to say is that they should drop the lake before we get all the rain. We all know they cant let it out until the river goes down!!

Re: Taylorsville?
You are correct Swamp Donkey, it is called a winter draw down the same thing they do with Rough, Nolin, and Barren. This would help with the big rains and flooding every year. It would help clean the creeks and river channel out that are silted in, and make a healthier bass population. FYI I live down stream of the lake, I know exactly what Salt River looks like every day.
