Jim Tressel's Hot Water is about to Boil Over
It is reported that Tressel forwarded the email that he received last spring about the players receiving improper benefits to the mentor of his quarterback Terrell Pryor. Tressel said earlier that he had kept this information to himself. Oops, wonder what the penalty is for not reporting the infractions in the first place and if he lied to the NCAA on top of that, even his past record of wins and losses may not save his job. Where there is smoke there is fire and usually the crime that is covered up is much smaller than the actual crime that happened. Going to be interesting.

Man the best thing OSU could do is fire the sweater vest and hope the NCAA has mercy on them! The guy is an amazing football coach but jeez!
Re: Jim Tressel's Hot Water is about to Boil Over
The report the ESPN had just said that he fowarded the emails. It did not say that he said anything to the NCAA, but if he lied to the NCAA about any part of this, it could get ugly. With Michigan in the toilet and Tressel getting who knows what discipline from the NCAA, the Big Ten could be a cake walk for Nebraska or anyone else. It would be kind of funny to see the NCAA drop the hammer on some of these coaches and send a message. I mean Dez Bryant gets suspended for the whole season for telling the NCAA a lie about a dinner meeting with Deon Sanders and all the inconsistent disciplinary actions taken recently. It would be nice to see Tressel and Pearl made examples of. If any other coach is busted for rules violations then drop the hammer. Don't let coaches run and hide to another university and get away from violations. If for example, Tennessee had violations under the Lane Kiffin era, then punish Lane Kiffin. Not saying put USC on probation, but suspend Kiffin for "x" number of games. Under Eddie Sutton's reign, UK had violations that put them on 2 years probation but Sutton high tailed it to Oklahoma State and went to the NCAA tourney that very same season UK was banned from playing. This sort of stuff should stop and the NCAA should set examples of coaches that cheat. Place the University on Probation and hammer the coach twice as long. It may deter stuff in the future.
