Thats why I learned to schedule trips to lakes that don't fluctuate much in the spring. Kerr < Gaston, Kentucky Lake < Guntersville. You can still catch fish when its fluctuating but it can be slow. Good luck anyway
yea you are right, all ready paid for the house. my dad and i and his cousins going down every spring and fall since 1995 he has grown attached to the place, i guess plenty of rook games then, thanks for the reply.
Fished Nolin in March for a week and they dropped it at least eight ft while we were there. We went from launching out of parking lots to being a few ft below summer pool. Patterns changed every day but we caught lots of fish, and had really nice keepers mixed in. Fish tend to move deeper during falling water and lots of guys pound banks, thus, it seems the fish have shut down (hey, sometimes they do). We had spots where we could get eight fish on a spot in 30 ft of water. Some days, they were in 15 ft. One day, on the banks. Don't be afraid to look shallow, then deeper, and you'll probably do well. I'd worry about where they are in spawn mode more than the falling water.
yea i am gonna try got 16 rods rigged up from top water to senkoes, trick worms, cranks lizzards all the way to jigs knowing my luck, i will end up breaking 4 or 5 rods the way i go to different baits. throw one for a while lay it down pick up another next thing you know walking all over them.
