with that being said, i thought to my self holy hell. 2900 must be a mistake so i email the guy just to confirm. they guy emailed me back while i was at wilgreen today
Sorry for my delayed response. The 2008 Bass Tracker nitro 640 16ft 50hp bass boat W/TRAILER is still for sale This bass tracker nitro 640lx 16.4ft with a 50hp fuel injected mercury outboard the reason I state this boat is new is that it has never been off the trailer or put in the water. The boat has a 2009 model mercury ME50ELPTO motor. I have decided to sell it for $2850 and the buyer will receive it with all papers and receipts that he needs to register it so if you buy it you don't have to worry about the paperwork. It was my father's but unfortunately he can't use it anymore as he died 3 month ago. I moved back where I was born in Albany NY and now it will be shipped from here. Please get back to me only if you are serious and want to buy it. Thank you.

Re: Too good to be true?
Definitely a scam...
What you do is tell him you have family in Albany, and you will be up there cash in hand to bring the boat home yoruself and see what he says...

Re: Too good to be true?
X2.....X10...yes a scam! You see a lot of those associated with car sales, when they SAY THEY WILL SHIP/ARRANGE SHIPMENT!!....Would not touch them with a 10 foot .......:eek::eek:.

Re: Too good to be true?
thats a deal of a life time, it's most likely a scam. but if you want the boat, email the person and ask for directions to were the boat is. that you will buy it and pick it up there. if he gives you directions, he will give you his address, and ask for his phone # so when you get close you can call him. it may not be a scam, it would be a shame to miss such a deal. it's the same boat that I have, mine came with a 60 hp on it. and it would take 200 yards to get the boat up on plane. I replaced the 60 with a 90 and it's a good little rig now. I told you this to let you know, if you buy it. the 50 hp on that boat is useless. good luck.

Re: Too good to be true?
As everyone stated...its a scam big time. I almost fell victim to a similar craigslist scam when I was looking to purchase my first boat. I knew the deal was to good to be true, I just didn't want to believe it...I was too excited about the boat. Good thing that I listened to my inner voice and backed off it, it was later posted on CL as a scam.

The first thing that would have clued me in was:
"It was my father's but unfortunately he can't use it anymore "
Yet he said it had never hit the water.......

Re: Too good to be true?
And when they say is is secure through eBay and waiting at the shipping yard. Well if its secure through eBay it would be on eBay haha, another good one is when it's a woman saying I got it in the divorce and have no use for it!!!! Mark them as scams
