Cumberland striper yesterday 4-30
An hour and a half from dark to dark. About half way up Greasy found a good school of active fish at 40' to 15'. They stayed in the same area for an hour of two. Most caught on downlines at 30'..shinners. Right before dark caught some casting a small wide wobble stick bait running 1-2' under the surface near the bank on a point that ran into a wall.
One keeper size.
The drift was moving "up" the creek and we fished the upstream edge of a drift line. Dont really know if that is relevant.
After dark put out a light. The water was pretty cloudy and nothing came up.
The drift was not too bad going in the creek about 6pm est but coming our about 10:30 it was really bad. Pumpkin creek was pretty clear.
Re: lake cumberland walleyes night bite stripers ??
Nighttime bite seems a little off again this year. Friday and Sat night, fished areas from Beaver to the dam and really only heard a handful of shad and "maybe" heard one striper blow-up the two nights. Water temps 58-65, with an average of 62.. Think we had one small striper Friday night(but may have been a walleye) and one keeper Sat night, along with 3-4 shorts. Landed a walleye on topwater that would have pushed 7 lbs. I am not optimistic of a good spring nighttime bite.

Checked the main lake on the north bank across from Beaver about 2:00 am
Est. Not a sound of anything at all. No moon. Lake was totally flat.
