south ky lake report
Went down to Cypress Bay this weekend.Water temps around 66.Lake flooded around 570 feet.Looking for bluegill and shellcracker.Sat was slow, the quick rise had them scattered. We caught half a dozen gills and 2 15 in bass.also a few cats.Today was much better before storms ran us off the lake.We caught about 30 in a few hours, with 4 or 5 huge redears. The bluegills did not have eggs but some of the males had started to turn color. We used a split shot rig with worms and popeye jigs tipped with fake waxworms. The best areas were marina parking lots in 5 to 7 feet of water.Water was pretty stained but not muddy.

Re: south ky lake report
Thanks for the report. We get there on the 11th, closer to the dam. We're a little worried, but going no matter what. We will have four or five boats in our group. 30 - 40 bluegills and shellcrackers per boat per day would be awsome. Hopefully there not pulling so hard there is a current while we are there.
Looking at the TVA site it looks like they won't be pulling the level down for a few days. I thought they would have started today.
