This is what happens when your wife dumps her birth control pills down the toilet and out into the lake. :)
Thats almost unbelievable its so big
Invasive quagga mussels are in Lake Havasu and redears are about the only line of defense from Mother Nature against these things....hence the HUGE redears that are now common in Lake Havasu.
It's been noted that having redear populations in these infested lakes, actually helps reduce their numbers because the redear have the unique ability to eat, crush and digest these quagga mussels. It's GREAT for the panfisherman because they get to catch and pursue record setting redear.
I hope these mussels eventually get into Patoka, talk about putting the fishing interests on it's head down there...wow. For you bass folks, it's been noted they've gotten huge in Havasu too since the introduction of Quagga Mussels.

If she did that, you have bigger problem to worry about. :D

Wait a second! this is from the person that complains about shad being invasive and promoting the introduction of another invasive?

lol I was thinking the same thing... But this is ok because it makes the redears bigger.
Such a double standard.
If you both would've carefully read my last sentence, you wouldn't be popping off your mouth. The bass in Havasu according to tourney fisherman and locals, have gotten bigger since the introduction of the Quagga Mussels too. So it's not just a benefit for redear growth, but bass growth too.
Wouldn't it be nice to have an invasive species that actually fattens up both species of fish? Guys let me be the first to tell you, I'm not the only panfisherman that detests the fact shad have taken over Patoka...it just seems you all believe that because I've actually voiced my opinion on the subject and it's not music to your ears.

I read your last sentence and that doesn't disqualify the fact you are talking out of both ends of your mouth.
The fact remains that you support an invasive species when it benefits you.
wow guys,
I didn't mean to start this up again sorry!
[QUOTE=strat5150;452891]wow guys,

you did nothing wrong, some people just dont know how to close doors behind themselves.
You guys have beat me up badly over the shad statements, even though I still stand by most of them. I'm done with the arguments, I didn't start this one if you'll notice. Some around here come directly out of the woodwork to attact me...big time. I've moved on, it's a shame some of you guys can't put it to rest.
I'm an avid fisherman that likes to take my son, wife, dad or whomever, I'm here in peace. I'll probably just quit posting, I'm tired of getting kicked while I'm down.
