Anyone catching any gills or crappies on Laurel or Woods Creek?
The crappie have been a little tough to find and seem a little picky on woodscreek hear lately. Gills haven't really moved up yet but with the full moon coming up you should be able to start finding some nice ones on both laurel and woodscreek. You can usually find some nice ones on laurel back in the wooded pockets as they get ready to spawn.
Thanks. I am buying a new boat and wanting to try it out. Is there a motor size limit on Woods Creek?

there isnt one. i dont think.
No there isn't but if you have a big motor be careful. Woodscreek is a very narrow and curvy lake with sharp points that run pretty shallow and if you ain't careful it's easy to run up on somebody around the bend real quick. Just watch for others and be careful.
there are some good redear in cedar creek .
I was bass fishin Woods Creek Sat. and had a really good day. Caught 17 LMs and 1 crappie on a worm :P it was about 10 inches and REALLY skinny.
