Lake Cumberland report Sunday 5/22
A buddy and I made the trip to the Lee's Ford Marina on Saturday. We fished that afternoon out of his Tracker in the area close to the marina. The water is high, and full of debris, but the lake is being drawn down quickly. We connected with a few small crappie around the tree-tops. Also a few small bass in weeds up against the banks, but the bites were few and far between.
We met Capt. Larry of Striper Fun Guide Service dark and early Sunday morning. We started out fishing deep with live bait and caught a few short fish, but they were scattered. Switched over to the umbrella rigs around 9 a.m. or so and finally got 2 keeper fish in the boat. Between the 2 of us we caught 15 stripers. I picked up a double on the umbrella rig, but my fishing partner Tommy caught the only legal fish.
This is only my second time fishing on the lake, and I have nothing but good to say about Capt. Larry. He told us up front about the water conditions, and he worked hard to get us on the fish. I would recommend him to anyone interested fishing wth a guide on Lake Cumberland.

Thanks for the report. I live in Jamestown and know fishing is tough now, but always nice to receive an Honest Report. Your report is not clear if you fished with, or, just talked to the Capt. Anyways, better fishing next time. JUST STAY AWAY FROM MOREMORIAL DAY WEEKEND~~~:D:D:D
Re: Lake Cumberland report Sunday 5/22
Sorry if it wasn't clear. We fished the first day on our own, and went out with Capt. Larry on the second day.
