It has been 10 years since I last fished there. If it is anything like it use to be it is a great place to fish.. fishing pressure is low and the fish are big.
Be warned though that that place is eat up with those tiny ticks and they will eat you up.
Let me say it before some one else does
I did not get any ticks on me while on the water But you do have to know some one who owns land there before you can fish so at some time you may be walking on a yard or in the woods sight seeing..
I found that using repeal with 29% deet from the knees down on my skin and then each layer of clothing help to keep them off but it is no guarantee..
Thanks, I appreciate it. I've always heard good things about the lake but never knew anybody with any land down there. One of my more recent friends has property down there now so I finally get too go. Just trying to get some background info on the lake.
I have a friend that works the marina and also does security for the neighboorhood. He tell me stories of big bass in the lake. Good luck when ever you go. And please do tell your story.
We have property there and fish it several times a year. There are definately some "Grown Ones" in it. I've never fished for anything but bass but I am told there are some nice crappie and blugill in there as well. It is deep and pretty void of cover so be prepard to be a bank beater.
Good luck and let me know how you do.
