Barren Friday

water was still way up...only ramp we could find open was the narrows. water was stained, and 86 degrees in the morning. Caught all of our fish before 10, and every one was on kermit the frog...it was a blast, they were chocking on that thing, never had fish eat something so deep, and everyone was like that. All fish were keepers, and nice and fat. Missed one fish on kermy, and I saw the side of him...it was a nice bass, but figures I lost him, but he didnt hit the bait like the rest of them did, he kind of just sucked it under, and I set the hook to soon. Fished till about 2, had a couple of bites flipping an ugly otter, just couldnt hook up. The lake was empty, so it was a good time to open up the boat, since I hadnt had it out much...68mph is way to fast for me!!! great day on the lake!

Nothing like a frog bite, sounds like you had a blast. There are other ramps open but the Narrows is best right now, you can launch at Beaver, Walnut creeks and I think browns ford and Baileys. I like the Narrows this when lake is flooded as it is not as far up the hill. lol lol. Thanks for report.

Were you throwing a soft plastic frog or a popper style chugger? Was there fishing Sat morning and it was nice. Thinking of going again this weekend with the kids.

I`ve been having a ball on Zoom Horny Toads up here on the wire grass,,love watching them blow up on it. I`ve been thru 10 packs of them..hard to find them up here
