Gps problem lms522c
I HAVE NOTICED RECENTLY THAT MY GPS LOSES A POSITION LOCK. THIS UNIT HAS AN INTERNAL RECEIVER ANTENNA. THE PROBLEM HAS ONLY OCCURED WHEN IT IS EXTREMELY HOT AND HUMID. THE LAST OCCURANCE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAKE WITH NO OBSTRUCTIONS. ANY INSIGHT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THANKS,

Re: Gps problem lms522c
How is it mounted? The 522c has an internal antenna. If it is flush mounted they are notorious for losing signal. I have a 522 flush mounted in my bow, I have it networked to my 520 and my lgc3000. If not it sits there and goes back and forth between signal lost and position aquired.

Re: Gps problem lms522c
My friend has this same unit bow mounted on a Johnny Ray mount and it has NEVER been able to hold position. It's constently beeping because it's either lost position or refound it again. This has happens every few minutes. He's sent it off to Lawrance and they supposively fixed it.
