Some recent catches down here in the sunshine state
Been way too busy to fish much lately but when Ive gotten out Ive done well. Caught some GATOR trout pushing five pounds. My inshore rig is a stradic Ci4 loaded with 6lb mono on a 24k gold carrot stix. Needless to say a 10lb redfish which fights at least 5x harder pound for pound then a small mouth is great fun.
Ive only been offshore once this year and it was one day before red snapper opened, still managed a box of mingos and this barely legal amberjack.

Sweet! The Redfish is good eating but I was never a huge fan of the trout...don't get me wrong I would eat them but in the Summer we had to cut the worms out of them cause I'm not eating a worm.:p
Man I miss fishing Saltwater!
Re: Some recent catches down here in the sunshine state
Big trout arent as good youre right, but the worms just add extra protein!
That amberjack was LOADED with worms sadly.
