There is absolutely no way to prevent these phone calls. I did go ahead and pressed 1 to speak to a representative. This is what I said before they hung up on me.

"When you were a kid did you dream one that one day you would be calling people and interrupting their day just to pi$$ them off? Your mother would be proud"

theres an excellent waY....you know...when you hear the tone open up like an auditorium....hang up!

I hate those calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They try to make Make you think your credit card has been hacked and then you find out its not about your credit card at all.

I fell for it once and talked to the rep and found out it was just another phone solicitation.

Now when they call I pushe the button to speak with the rep and then just lay the phone down untill the they get tired of waiting for me to answer.

I make them hang up, its more fun than me having to hang up every time.

Now every time I get a phone solicitation call, I ask "can you hold for just a second, I have to turn off the stove" then I set the phone down and forget about it. Five minutes later I hang the phone back up.

I just answer with:

"Yes this is Bob at the Louisville Federal Bureau of Investigations. Please hold till we trace this call."

Then I hear a "click".

I like the way Tom Mabe handles telemarketers.

Tom Mabe destroys telemarketers and is a good stand up comedian. He is also a Bullitt County boy so you know he is an alright fellow. :D

Did all you guys remember to opt out on unwanted cell calls? if you didn't better start they count on your minutes.

as bad as it is, it's someone trying to make a paycheck. I had a daughter that worked as a telemarketer, while going to college. and I remember how much she hated that job, she said people would talk to her so bad.
