Re: Reformatory lake
I used to fish out there years ago (in the 90s). I caught a few keeper-size catfish, and suddenly started catching lots and lots of yellow bass. Those little guys were everywhere, but never caught one big enough to be worth keeping; all under 8". I liked fishing there--it wasn't terrible, there was good bank access, and it wasn't a far drive. But I haven't been there in about 14 years.

Re: Reformatory lake
Right next to oldham county high school in buckner. North 393. Its part of the ky state prison. But the problem is no boats, and you cant fish on the prison side. But if you go at the right time of the year, you can catch them. Its pretty deep so im sure big ones are in there, ill let you know if i get one. I live very close.

Re: Reformatory lake
Yeah theres bass, yellow bass, carp, everything really in a lake. I have seen guys bring in coolers full of crappie too. The thing is, you gotta hit it at the right time.
