Owensboro area bass fishing
I live in Owensboro and the bass fishing around here (to me anyway) is just not good. I dont have a boat, yet. Trying to get a jon or a little 2 man plastic boat. Anway I've fished Carpenter lake and peabody to death with very little luck from the bank. Not yet really tried the river as Im not sure where I can bank fish and have luck catching bass. As for Carpenter lake I know its way over fished and Im not surprised I dont catch anything but Peabody I have no idea whats up. I dont know if its the summer heat, even though I get out there at like 5am or what. It looks like it would be impossible to not catch fish there but more often than not I get skunked after fishing like every bank accessible lake on the Ohio co side. Sometimes not ever even getting a bite. If anyone has any ideas where a good spot is around Owensboro please let me know. I'll drive up to an hour away to fish, a little more if its worth it. I love to fish but I hate when I waste all that time and gas to get places only to get skunked.

Re: Owensboro area bass fishing
the bass fishing around owensboro is miserable at best--thats why there are no bass clubs in owensboro--I got sick of it so i started saving and bought a bass boat--now i always make the drive to kentucky and barkley to catch some bass
Re: Owensboro area bass fishing
Hopkins County has a active "trolling motor bass club" and they have regular tournaments i think the club presidents name is Theron Shaw.
