The money I put in it and the MONEY I defer is MY MONEY. Since you poopheads in office cannot figure out how to STOP spending money, I'm not planning on relying on gubment handouts.

I PLAN and put away for my OWN retirement......I'd like to keep my 401K as it is.

While the caps don't affect me.........yet, they may when my kids are out of college, and my house is paid.......I could easily dump more to help guarantee that I don't need GUBMENT money.........

Leave it alone.........Stop spending so much.....maybe that will be helpful.

Geo, I feel your pain. You are doing exactly what I did. I quitired early at the age of 58 and have paid all our expenses since through monies we saved. I have never received a penny from the goverment and that's the way I planned it.

That's part of the solution. But cutting spending won't fix the deficit all by itself, it's just too big. So yes, "raising revenue" has to be the other half of the solution, or else, as they said in Blazing Saddles, "we're just @#$%ing off." And if the Republicans really cared about reducing the deficit, and weren't more concerned with placating their voting base, they'd admit that.

Hold on! Don't you know that it is both parties? This is not an issue of one party not doing what they are elected to do.

And on cutting spending I bet we would be surprised at how much money we would save by changing a few immigration laws. Start getting down to real cuts. Think about all of the foreign aid money and who is getting it.

There are many ways to save money to pay on our debt but you don't hear our political leaders trying to do anything about it. All we hear is bs and all we see them doing is stalling by bad mouthing each other and talking about cuts to social security.
