Never been there myself but if half of what they've said over on Bigindianabass is true, then its the new Guntersville...
Let us know how good it is.
Waveland wasn't too bad today for such a hot day. Not too any bites, but they were all nice chunky 2 3/4 - 4 lb. fish. Caught them on cranks and shakey heads. Tried jigs and worms on the breaks, but it wasn't the ticket today. I'll go back for sure......nice lake and healthy bass!

It's a mud hole. :D:D
Ditto...3 years ago this place was on fire. Now, way too many boats and fisherman pressure.
Save your gas and go to Boggs.

Boggs is not even close to what it used to be!
yep waveland is a dud . shoot it only takes about 23 # to place in a 5 place tourney. true about pressure you can walk from bank to bank on boats.
The fish in Waveland and Boggs look very much alike......fat and sassy! Boggs is tough for me when it gets hot, love it in the spring and fall though. I can see how Waveland is way over pressured.....I am looking forward to trying it out when the water temps. aren't 90!
You know? there are a few similarities between these two mud holes. They're both small, own and operate by the county and not the state, cost much more than state's properties to get in, and properly managed for recreation.
