Rough river STINKS
I went down to rough spillway this morning and they had shut down the water flow yesterday and it smelled realy bad I mean sewage bad. I looked around to see if onemorecast was down there but no one resemble his avatar. Wounder what cause the bad smell? There was not any dead fish fish laying around. Dont waste your time fishing below the dam once they shut down the water all the good fishing stoped.

Re: Rough river STINKS
That smell is the sulfur from the bottom of the lake because of how hard they had been drawing it! thats all no big deal. they are only pullin like 100 cubic feet per hour thats all. lakes getting better. large mouth fished 12 hours lastnight. got bites and caught fish every where. hook about a 20 pound catfish on a worm.lol fish are in less the ten feet because of the thermo cline!

Re: Rough river STINKS
I went and fished Rough last night but couldn't make it until after dark, so I didn't see if there were any jumps in the evening.
Largemouths were biting well. I caught quite a few and some good ones too.
Water temps in the mid to upper 80's. Thermocline is right at 10 ft. and the fish are there with the occasional shallow fish.
It got really foggy this morning. I didn't see any morning jumps so I headed out.

Yeah, it's not for everybody! LOL
When will the sweet mullet be back in style? I have been donning mine for so long, just waiting to be hip again, like I was back in 1986........

Re: Rough river STINKS
Went again last night with my brother in law. Results were much less positive.
Only had 2 keepers and maybe 8 bites all night. Fished a lot of the same places and techniques that I did the night before. Changed it up and still wasn't working.

Re: Rough river STINKS
Any new and updated reports from rough? How is the spinnerbait fishing there? I have never fished there but will be down for a tournament in September.
