Nolin Report
Went out there this weekend, Saturday between 3 and 4 wacked about 21 LM, between 10 and 18 inches long. 4 kept, the rest were fairly decent in size. All on topwater, in the heat of the day. Sunday, caught some, not like Saturday though. All in the middle of the day. Funny thing was I caught one in one spot on Saturday that had half it's mouth missing. Threw him in the livewell to show my dad. Released him Saturday night. Sunday, I was fishing where I released him and caught him again. Never did that before. I would say exactly where I was, but I expect I would see about 10 boats there next weekend. Anyways, it was at the lower end of the lake. If you see a maroon and tan Z7 Nitro at Nolin (the one in my avatar) stop and say hi, I am always out there on the weekend at least one day.

Re: Nolin Report
Man, I though Nolin was a zoo Saturday. We did pretty good on top water at the mouth of Conoloway Creek. Kastermasters with white feather tails worked when they went down. No real jumps, just some little pops.
But man the traffic was crazy, especially just when is started to rain around 4-5 pm. At times I had 4 or 5 jet skis 8-10 pontoons, and 4 or 5 bass boats all running in diffeerent directions all in that litle area right outside Ponderosa. The water out front of Moutadier was like the Chesapeake Bay it was so shopped up. And folks doing goofy things. I had 6 boats pass me, overtaking, that came so close to the side of the boat, I couldn't see their boat, just the driver when they passed. I'm talking with in 6-8 feet of me. Jet skis cutting in front of the bow so close their prop blast was hitting the windshield.
Been to Nolin many times since mid-90's, and have never seen it that crazy.
Darn near as nutso as Rough gets on 4th of July.

I was up by Nolin Estates when the rain came in, and it was rediculous. All the pontoons trying to get back to the ramp, I was weaving in and out of them. There were so many boats out there, I can't understand how people can possibly be enjoying that. On Sunday, there were these two giant Baja boats running around me that I almost got washed up into the rocks by the dam.

Nolin lake on a weekend is a joke, it's like Cumberland on the 4th of July...

Yeah and if gas prices were't what they are now I guarantee the boating traffic would be a lot worst!
