North Branch Elkhon
Me & CoachJoe fished from the dam below Great Crossing.I had fun but must say it sucked big time.At time i thought i was walking on ice as we had too pull our kayaks too get past the shadow water. We took out at Pratt rd.The whole creek was shadow. My best was a 10.5 inch & Joe had a 13 inch for his best. The guides, anglers & kayakers need too pick up the tires, its full of them.At times you can see more than 1.I don't think anyone has been dumping them just over the yrs it as never been cleaned up.Next tire i see here in my area i'll be picking it up.

Had that same problem here at my place on the Nolin River. Tires everywhere you'd look. Also old appliances. No one to clean them up so I did it. Started around 98' and i can bet I've pulled close to a 1,000 out of a ten mile stretch. I get a lot of comments from people about what a clean stretch of river it is.

Re: North Branch Elkhon
I feel if we don't start cleaning up our rivers nobody will. Last time I hit Floyds Fork for a wade with my kids we spent an hour after fishing picking up all sorts of trash. While we were fishing some idiot pulled up to a bridge got out and threw an old car battery right in the middle of the creek.

Re: North Branch Elkhon
Alot of private launch/takeout spots have been lost around here due to people trashing the landowners property. I can't blame the landowners one bit either.
I will never understand why people think that every bridge they cross, something needs to be chunked out the window. If you have ever fished around bridges much, you know what i'm talking about.

You pulled your kayak just when the fishing starts to get good.
