Not sure what town it is in. It is north of the 68 bridge and East side of the lake. LBL side.
There's not a campground that I recall, just a ramp. However you can camp anywhere you want in LBL with a Backcountry Camping permit...even right on the water if you so desire.

Here's a link to all the maps and other information:

Also, here's a link to a chart telling which areas charge daily fees, and which require the Backcountry Camping permit:

Definitely a back country campground there. Not bad.....about 10-15 spots and 1 or 2 porta pots........
I use that ramp quite a bit........
Get there early, because during good times, the campground is usually full. Also, this is back country camping. No water, no elect, no sewer, NADA.
Later,
Geo

You will need to take WKY Parkway to 24 West to Paducah. Just after you get on 24 West, take first exit which is 62/641. Turn left then just keep going straight, cross the Cumberland River (below Barkley Dam), then you will go under a bridge and turn left onto The Trace (453). The entrance to Sugar Bay is between 6-10 miles (never tacked it) but you will pass Pisqua Bay, Smith Bay and Duncan Bays signs on your right. Sugar Bay will also be on your right after passing Duncan. The signs are brown and are very close to the turn-in and can be hard to see at times. Primitive Camping, no electric hook up, no showers but a couple of porta potties. Hope this helps
That's a little bit of the long way around the barn (IMO). Coming from Louisville I would take the WK Parkway and get off on the Pennyrile South. Take the Pennyrile until the first Hopkinsville exit which I believe is 1684 if memory serves me. Take 1684 to 68 / 80 and turn right to follow 68 /80 around Cadiz and into LBL. Take the Trace north and the gravel road to Sugar Bay is on the left about 5 miles out. Less back tracking coming from Louisville.
Camping at Sugar Bay requires a back country permit which you can get at Golden Pond which is right as you get on the Trace. It is a beautiful place to camp...
