personaly I can't wait until they drop it down for the winter and all or most of the big boats are gone.. The advantage of having a jon boat that only takes on 10" of water is I can take it places these new heavy boats will never see. The difference is the fish will gather up in deep holes and stay for the winter. As too answer your post I have been catching a few keepers out of the trees but it is few and far between I think there scooling up under the bait fish right now so if you have a fish finder put it to work and do some spider rigging it may pay off.
are the schools on channel banks or coves or what?

thanks for the info. if i figure anything out i will PM you.
Freak .... my sources tell me that Green River Lake is giving up some nice catches of Crappie. Usually on minnows .. spider rigging or slow trolling over the flats around Holmes Bend area ... 14-18fow has been the usual depth range. Many times they've had 100 fish days, with a decent amount of keeper size fish ... other times they might hit a spot & get into some bigger fish. You can usually tell where the flats are, even without a map .... just look for a dozen or so boats gathered together out in the middle of the lake ... LOL !!! Last I heard, the flats just around the corner from Holmes Bend (heading towards the dam) was still producing fish.
