pulling a camper and boat
im looking at getting a small camper about 20 feet or less has anyone pulled a boat and camper at the same time ......take note this will no be a fifth wheel camper........ just called a respectable rv dealer and right off the bat he said it could no be done
Re: pulling a camper and boat
Funny. never realized all the rigs I have seen before were 5th wheel campers.
I guess it could get a little more hairy with a bumper hitch setup. With the way they can wip ya back and forth when the tongue weight is not perfect.
Prob hve just as much to do with your truck and how it will handle it all.
Whats your boat size?
Re: pulling a camper and boat
I guess it can be done but not sure about legal.Have seen the 5th wheel rigs doing it.It has alot too do with how long it will be.Can your truck pull it.I have a HHR & pull a trailer with kayaks on it with no problem.

Re: pulling a camper and boat
Back in 2002 I bought a 5th wheel caqmper, I went to the Waddy truck scales and asked the DOT about pulling a boat behind my trailer. He looked up the rules and said you were only allowed 1 trailer ball trailed unit,he said a fifth wheel and 1 trailer ball were O K. I have pulled my trailer and boat to KY lake, Cumberland, Dale H. ever since. Just dont go over the length law. In some states you can,t travel with it on some highways. Dave

Pretty cool!
Re: pulling a camper and boat
I would not want to tow more than one rig at a time. It would be too big of a headache to me.
