Marine mechanic recommendation
My fishing buddy,Knute (the heathen), needs a recommendation for a reliable and reputable mechanic to work on his 1998 Force 90HP.
Pressure on cylinders 150-150-120. A mechanic whose name and location I won't reveal has basically told Knute, "I can't fix it."
Knute is willing to travel anywhere within about 3 hours from Louisville to get his Force repaired.
You may PM me if you feel uneasy telling me anything on this forum.
Thanks for the help. Knute needs all the help he can get.
Re: Marine mechanic recommendation
Try calling 270-862-boat. Charlie Anderson has his own shop. Charges like a $50 diagnostic fee that includes pressure test and other. Very good. Located in Eastveiw around 12 mikes west of E-town. A phone call will let your friend know whats up.

Thanks coombro.
Isn't there a guy around Nicholasville or such that people have mentioned here on the board?
Please give your opinions if you have received good service on motor repair.
Re: Marine mechanic recommendation
I took my boat to "a guy in Nicholasville" because it was having problems.... I won't go into details here, but don't do it. I was told that my motor needed to be rebuilt, and was gonna cost upwards of 2500 dollars. I got a second opinion from another guy in Paris. He charged me 35 dollars to diagnose it, then fixed it for less than 500. That was almost two years ago and I haven't had so much as a hiccup out of it since. I personally don't even think the "guy in Nicholasville" even looked at it.
Just my two cents.
P.S. The guy in Paris works at KY boat shop...his name is Scott. Good guy. Any questions..feel free to PM me.
