A bad day fishing is well we all know the rest so Ill be there no matter what the fishing reports show. Keep the lines tight:D
I have been getting daily reports from a friend of mine and he say's it's rough river!! if there biting your good to go if not it's dead.. But for the most part a lot of small fish are being cought .. If you or some one else could give a report on the water temps.
Caught several keepers until the clouds cleared out . Water was 73.5 at axtel
I plan on heading out there in the morning as well. Hadn't been on rough in a couple months. Hope to find some fish. If you see a red Sprint with a Johnson stop by and say hello

I will be there as well, in a maroon Sprint with a Mercury, give a shout :)
Lot of 12-14 inch fish. Plenty of them in the backs of creeks----just follow the shad. Topwater and flipping/pitchin cover will catch bass.
Last weekend the bigger keepers were on main channel banks in a little bit deeper water. We caught fish in the 5-8 foot depth and boat was sitting in 15-20 feet. Main lake points and channel banks were the best for us.
Good luck and have fun. Wish I was fishing this weekend.
First time i have been up there in a while. Water was 74 at axtel. Caught two keepers best around 3 pounds. Had a 5+ smack a spinnerbait at the side of the boat, scared me so bad I about fell out. Caught them in 4-10 ft of water on channel banks.
Are the lakes on their slow draw down? I noticed te other day that rough looked a little lower than it normally does. I looked at the lake level yesterday and it said it was a little under pool.
They don't pull it down until Oct. 15 or the 20 but they may pull it a little if they are expecting alot of rain.
