I have a weeklong trip in a couple weeks and will be staying down in Paris. I don't know this area well at all. I stayed down there in May (Hurricane Season) and the winds kept us off the main lake all week.
In the Spring everyone seems to run south of Paris, is it the same in the Fall? Is the Big Sandy area better than the main lake?

In the fall, just about anywhere is a good place to be on that lake.
In the spring, the lake tends to warm faster on the south end, so you have more guys venturing down that way at that time of year. Plus, mainlake flats are a really hot thing to fish then as well, and the farther south you go the more you have to choose from.
Should be quite a few guys fishing down there in preparation for the Everstart Championship at the end of October.
