Been a little slow....Lots of 5-8lb bags were weighed this weekend...Not very many over 12, with the biggest being 15 and they had a 6.61 kicker...This warm snap may have picked it back up a little, but that lake has a tendency to get tough this time of year
Thanks! I'm debating going to Green or just stay close to home and hit the KY River on Saturday.
surface temp 70. very clear. stilll lots of big boats making waves and burning gas. even bluegill arn't biting.
And with it being warm this weekend I'm sure the "wake machines" will be out in full force. Thanks all!
Last weekend, I fished there on Saturday. Had a 7 lb 3.6 oz bag of Ky's. They were on bluff walls in 12-18' of water (boat sitting in 25'+). Caught them on shaky heads with trick worms. With the stable weather all week, I'd start around secondary points in coves next to the main river channel. There are big fish still deep as well if you can catch them. The bluff wall was my backup plan, usually good for some keepers. Fish are gonna be following the shad up.
Went to the river today. Very slow and all dinks. Caught them on soft plastics (worms, craws).
I'm prolly gonna head out there tommorow....heard people were catching them really shallow before the cold spell last weekend, but there are still fish deep for sure
