Nolin Report 10/6/11
Went to nolin this past thursday looking to catch some bass. The water was down a few feet from summer pool. We fished from daylight to about 5:30 that evening. We caught 40+ but only 5 or 6 would keep. Most of the rest were slots. A few were under 12. All but 3 were caught on rocky main lake banks and they were all caught on plastics.

There's a slot on Nolin? I don't keep any bass and have no problem with those that do yet I've not heard of a slot on Nolin. Someone mind filling me in?

You can keep anything over 15" and one per person per day from 12-15"...the 12-15 is your slot....Put in place because there are so many short fish in that lake....I've had days of catching 100-150 bass and only get 3 or 4 keepers

Oh yeah I remember now only one may be kept in that range. I'm thinking slot, meaning you may keep none within such and such range. Thanks

Here`s a copy of special regulations on Nolin. It does`nt say anything about a slot. It says you can keep one under 15 inches.
Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass:
15-inch size limit, except 1 fish in the
daily limit or 2 in the possession limit
may be less than 15 inches long.
Some one from Ky fish and wild life please explain this.
