Best Goose Calls!
I am a young goose hunter that lives near Lake jericho. and every year we always get thousands and thousands of geese come in the area. i recently shoot my first banded goose on are farm. But what made it better was i called it in myself. I was using feild proven goose calls. I was using the one called afterschock. I am telling the truth, if you want a goose call that is loud get the aftershock or the matrix. they are truly the best call i have ever seen. These guys named clay and phil are the makers of these calls. they make every part of the call thereself. And these recently opened a factory near the entrance to jericho lake in henry county. the cost is kinda high but it is worth it. If you are interest in buying a goose call or getting more information send me a message and i will give you information on how you can contact them. They also sell duck calls. Good luck this year goose and duck hunters!!:)

Re: Best Goose Calls!
Do they have a website? Haven't heard of them....
I've been using a Jim King goose call since I first started, he's out of Fulton, KY. Glynn Scobey and Tim Grounds also make great calls. I've hunted with Tim's son, Hunter, years ago when he was about 11 or 12 years old....very talented kid on the goose and duck call, of course he's gone on to win some major titles since then.

Clay Hudnall, used to work/video/hunt with Fred Zink. I understand there was a falling out so Clay and others are making their own.

Re: Best Goose Calls!
Migration has lots of birds still up north. I hunted MO this past weekend - shot up the local birds Sat. morning, and Sun. was pretty slow once they got wise.
My group had 13 Sat., and 5 on Sun. - a few teal, a greenhead, a pintail, and several gadwall and shovelers. Didn't see but maybe a dozen snow geese, which is rare...usually by now we're seeing large groups up high and there's a few thousand on the local refuge.
My father-in-law just got back from a pheasant hunt in Kansas - he said with each day they were seeing more and more ducks and geese pour into the area....I guess the migration has started, but they haven't started making their way this far south yet.

Re: Best Goose Calls!
I know this reply is a little late but I haven't checked on here in a while. Art sounds like a pretty good weekend for early november. I have been checking DU & other states online but now that we have all this extra water & its 70 degrees I don't know what to think.
Good luck if you guys go out in the morning. I won't make it out until this weekend it looks like, & I'll be hunting in far eastern KY. No expectations but looking forward to a couple good mornings out with friends.

Usually I'm not looking forward to the KY opener...it's usually a bust....however we have a large number of birds in the area, and it's looking like it could be an EXCELLENT opener!
