Anyone think this would be ok catfish bait? A buddy bagged a deer, and instead of buying chicken livers, i asked for the deer liver. I was thinking of dousing it with strawberry koolaid and catching a mess of eater channels. Any thoughts?

I seen a guy at ky lake use deer liver on a trotline he said very hard to get off of line and he would catch alot of channelcats
I've been using it for years. Tastes good too!
I tried it without any luck. My neighbor hunts and I've asked him again for another liver to give it one more try.
Hello Captain Troll!
Never used deer liver, but I suspect it would work.
Pretty tatey cooked with onions too.
Catfish aren't picky. I have used squirrel hearts with success as well.

should work fine. Back when i used to groundhog hunt, people were always wanting their liver, and their hearts to use for catfish bait. They both eat about the same thing, corn, clover,
and acorns. I have found the hearts stay on the hook better. Tr
i have used it acouple times with no luck

Heart was a bit chewy. Liked liver and onions pretty fine though.
