Re: Savannah State Univ...
Giving Butler University all they can handle at the moment......
BTW....Indiana beat Savannah State University 94 to 65.....I know SSU is not a big power house school...But like I said earlier Butler is (not ) the same team this year as it was at the end of the season last year....
Indiana is NOT the same team either............Not the powerhouse they were, but certainly on their way.........

Where did you say that? I looked back at your last 10 post and find nowhere that you said it The only thing I remember you ever saying about Butler was last season when you told us how they would kick Louisville's butt in the first game at the Yum Center. When that didn't happen you came on here and made all kinds of excuses like you normally do.
"Oh yeah Butler is gonna be one tough game for U of L to start off the History in the New Arena. Even if Haywood does not return, I say these guys are still a Top 10 team....... Pre-season ranking of # 3 for next season if Haywood returns.....
Pintino didn't look to thrilled about the ( real ) possibility of having the first game in the New downtown arena vs Butler. Looks to be a first game loss for the Cards for the History Books...Unless U of L gets their act together and starts playing as a Team... Samantha Samuels will lead the way for you all......:D"
Re: Savannah State Univ...
Could have you confused with someone else whom I made the comment about Butler to Tim...But I do remember saying it to someone....
But in the end Butler pulled out the W and held SSU to 42 points, but only scored 57 against SSU in the process.....
First part of our bet comes up on Sat. there BPL...We'll be playing Butler.....:)
Re: Savannah State Univ...
Several teams will play above their head when going into a game against a team with some talent or history....Heck ODU was pretty much taking charge of UK the other night on the inside once Davis sat down. I think UK can keep folks honest with their fast play on offense but they are vulnerable inside defending the basket compared to other teams who have a few mobile big boys under the bucket.

Hope you don't go 0-1 to start
Re: Savannah State Univ...
Any team can beat any team on any given day. That's what keeps it real.

Totally agree! I love watching the chess matches these coaches have to play...:) weak in one area so play hard in another and impose your will on them to keep them off guard. It's awesome to watch it happen.
