Harley.....Say what?
Have ya seen that Harley Davidson commercial that demonstrates the "awesome Harley Horsepower", as the guy rips the doors off......now get this.......dog cages?!?!?!?!.....Say what?!?!! I can do that with a riding mower.
And the best part right at the end of the commercial is where the Harley rides away draging the cage doors, and the dog's the dude freed are running on the sidewalk.......and just about to out run the bike. Yep, makes me want to buy one. I might just add nitrous to the Lawn Boy.

Re: Harley.....Say what?
I haven't seen the commercial. But either this past weekend or last week I think I remember reading that Harley now has a motorcycle out that is supposed to be marketed towards an entirely different group of motorcycle enthusiasts...something of a stripped down Harley, non-cruising, more of a stripped down Harley or something...I forget what they're calling it, Night Train or Night Something or Dark Rider or something, can't remember now.
It hasn't been until the past few years that Harley's (used) have come down in price enough for me to truly consider buying one...only thing is now that I'm almost at the ripe old age of 50, I don't have any interest in owning a motorcycle anymore.

For the life of me, how can those that own Harley's, ride them with all that noise they make from the exhaust....
I just couldn't go for that loud noise at all..Guess that's why I'm more into the Goldwing's....

huhhh...speak up can't hear ya....tanker's ear.
Poetic justice:
1. I'm in the Army making money for mommy to have nice stuff--hearing loss source #1.
2. I use power lawn equipment to keep mommy's flower beds, lawn, and shrubs pretty so she can brag to her girlfirends. Hearing loss source #2
Mommy gripes and nags at me.........I say "Thanks and smile".
Why....I can't hear here, see 1 and 2 above.

When your on one the rumble is behind you and it sounds awesome. I run mine straight pipes with no baffles once in a while but the guys behind me say it's too loud! So they ride in front of me or I slide the baffles in.
The rumble you get while riding these beautiful central Ky roads around the horse farms and palisades are perfect. Cruising around 45-50 mph and just enjoying the scenery, feeling that power and hearing that Harley rumble is a peaceful feeling man.
Ride with 4-5 other Harleys and you get that rumble in stereo! I'm not a loud music guy or loud speaking/yelling type of guy either but the sound of a Harley is just sweet to me. Hearing one in the distance on a nice summer night is like music to my ears and makes you wanna get out and ride.:)
Heck my buddies Honda is louder than my Fatboy.

Re: Harley.....Say what?
well boys I turned the big 50 this year!! I do not feel old at all and as my old mother always said "Age is a state of mind". You are as young as you feel and somedays that is 25 and some days that is 85 if the humidity is high. My parents had me late as a last child and they were in their 40's so I grew up with that. They were big on Lawrence Welk and Guy Lombardo and Glenn Miller. They were like my grandparents. So I know all the old stuff but it doesnt mean that I am long in the tooth as you call it. I have the second half of my life to lead and I am note doing it a rocking chair!!
