I know, I know! The old fart isn't easy on the eyes. Someplace in every flower garden is room for a cracked pot. It's already full of dirt (or is it?), so plant a pretty flower and feed it. You may be surprised at what Ron produces.
From what I have observed among the candidates, almost all of them have some rough spots that need to be cleaned up. We may as well give the Devil his dues; Ron Paul has managed to maintain his standing in the ratings although he isn't in the lead. I don't favor him because I don't know enough about him or his record to make a judgment call at this time.
We still have almost 11 months to go before the elections and the ratings will probably roll over and over and keep us confused. God help America if Obama is re-elected.

I think we should be saying God help America in it's next presidential election. As things stand right now I can't say I like Gingrich or Perry and I sure as heck can't say I like Nobama. But it looks like these are going to be our choices.
Can anyone give some positive feedback on Gingrich or Perry?
I think once the labels are taken away like liberal or conservative newt shines the best. Once you label him people get confused over what party he really stands with. I'm not into 100% of what any candidate stands for so I basically fall back to picking the lessor of the evils because after all they are politicians.
I think newt is the most knowledgable man on the ticket and I like his opinions on most things. I think he has the best chance to beat Obama because he just doesn't seem to care what he says, you know? When someone is talking stupid political crap he cuts to the bone with a sharp comment and that is what's needed. Call people out when they need it, don't be bullied by the media or the opponent.
Right now it seems obamy is just cruising while the GOP is fighting but that's the system and I like it myself. Wait until newt or Romney spar with him in a debate and they start beating eachother up. Hopefully the GOP won't pull their ropeydope of letting the hits keep coming and not fighting back like with McCain. The GOP needs an infusion of common sense when it comes to what people want to see in a candidate. I mean if they strike you then strike back with brute force because the liberal party and media are bullies.
Have any of you checked out "The Fact Checker" with the Washington Post and what do you think?

Interesting that the VERY first "fact check" fails to mention that 83 of the 84 ethics charges were DROPPED.
Democrats accused Gingrich of violating tax laws by misusing tax-exempt groups for political purposes. The allegations centered on Gingrich’s teaching of a videotaped college course called “Renewing American Civilization,” which Democrats claimed he put together with improper help from his congressional staff, and which they said he illegally supported using tax-deductible charitable donations to meet “political, not educational” objectives. In the end, 83 of the 84 charges were dropped. He was reprimanded for making misleading statements to the committee, and he paid $300,000 to offset the cost of the investigation. He accepted the committee’s findings as part of the agreement.
The last charge which was NOT dropped, he was guilty of. He used his CLASS to teach conservative ideas. HOLY HELL.......throw the book at him, Take him out back. SHOOT him in the head.
I love how your fact checker is very, VERY PARTISAN.
I will check my OWN facts, thank you.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker
it's a shame, that theres no one to run for president, but someone like [ Newt Gingrich ] who has been up there for 40 years, and has helped get us in the mess we're in today. he isn't the solution to our problems, he is part of our problem. he reminds me of a beechnut, he has a face any way you turn him.

I do not think that I held claim to him anywhere in my post! I only asked if you had checked him out and what you thought.
Newt is not the only one that he writes about and I do not think that he paints a very nice picture on any of them but then I have not read him regularly.
