CHINA!!

I saw this on the news tonight...then I checked out ABCNEWS.COM and copy clicked some information there into this thread. For at least the past 30 years I have been on a big time anti-China/anti-foriegn anything kick as far as goods are concerned. Anyway...Apparently the U.S. has just discovered that CHINA has been spying on us BIG time, apparently hackers with ties to the Chinese military have been [U]eavesdropping[/U] on U.S. Chamber of Commerce officials involved in Asia affairs.

The hackers had access to everything in Chamber computers, including, potentially, the [U]entire[/U] U.S. trade policy playbook!

"[U]The Chinese have attacked every major U.S. company, every government agency, and NGO's[/U]. Their attacking the Chamber of Commerce is part of a pattern of their attacking everything in the US. If you're working on U.S.-China relations with an NGO, government agency, you can be sure the Chinese are reading your emails and on your computer," Richard Clarke, former White House counter-terrorism adviser, told ABC News.

At one point, the penetration into the Chamber of Commerce was so complete that a Chamber thermostat was communicating with a computer in China. Another time, chamber employees were surprised to see one of their printers printing in Chinese.

One "expert" was qouted as saying he "doesn't think the Chamber of Commerce has anything worth stealing, but it's part of a pattern of the Chinese stealing of EVERYTHING they can!

Sources have told ABC News that at any given moment that there are hundreds of cyber attacks targeting U.S. companies and government agencies.

In late 2009, sources say China-based hackers broke into Google's computers and looked at the email accounts of human rights activists. [U]In the same operation, 29 other companies were hit[/U], [U]including Dow Chemical, Yahoo and Morgan Stanley. [/U]

The same year, [U]a Chinese spy at Ford Motor Company [/U]downloaded thousands of files on hybrid engine design and gave them to the Chinese government, and a cyber attack traced to [U]China allegedly stole design secrets to a U.S. stealth fighter jet.[/U]

[U]Congressional leaders say China is engaged in economic espionage on a scale never seen before[/U].

[U]"You stack all of that up and I think there's a case to be made that this may be the greatest transfer of wealth through theft and piracy in the history of the world and we are on the losing end of it," said Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island. [/U]

[U][B]Overall, the U.S. is hemorrhaging economic espionage to the tune of $250 billion. [/B][/U]

"This is a national, long-term strategic threat to the United States of America. This is an issue where a failure is not an option," said Robert Bryant at the National Counterintelligence Executive.

The Chinese, of course, have denied it all.

[I]Now...on a separate note...some of you may know (I do not), but haven't we been giving aid to China for some reason or another? And where did our donated money to China come from? It was from (drum roll please) loans made to the U.S. by CHINA![/I]

The Chinese has a saying that is about 500 years old. "If you want to conqure the beast..you must first make it a friend". We need to keep a close look-out on these chumps...I assure you of this...If the North made a move on the South..China would be most pleased. But they both know..that if they did make a move on the South...or a move on Taiwan...Both of thier navy would be eliminated in about three days (less than 72 hours); "if", we dicided to win with absolute victory...But to do that...we would need a leader...and right now we don't anybody even close to being a leader. We should have took on the North...a long time ago...Im sure one day...we will have to fight those bitches again...and Im sure if we continue to wait...We will have to fight them on thier terms..A war is coming with one or both...just a matter time. They don't want to mess with the MK 48 right now, ...they don't have a torpedo that can even come close to this magnificent peace maker...Our Navy is ready....on a second of a notice!

Yes..we have spied for years, but it's all been in the name of "policing" the world hasn't it? Not for being able to build an F-15 or what have you from someone else's design? I may be wrong here but have we ever used another country's techonogical or military design in order that we may build something of our own here?
