Hmmm... Gas and other fuels now the top US export
Heard for years that there was a shortage of refineries in the US and thats one of the reasons why gas prices were so high.

Also I would bet that they are selling it for less per gallon to other countries than what we are paying for it.
Big oil literally has us over a barrel.

So much for greed in the middle east causing fuel prices to be overly inflated... I wonder where the greed is centered now... The problems with our economy are mostly home grown.

Markets are Markets..........NO WAY they sell overseas for less than here. NO WAY....
Big oil doesn't have us over a barrel. Our EPA simply will not allow us to utilize our own crude. Low sulfur and sweet crude are favored in our refineries. There are not as many that are capable of refining our oil. Those that can refine "our" oil can probably make more by shipping overseas since they didn't have to pay as much to import it.
I wonder if we actually follow OPEC with our exports :) :) . Somehow, I bet not.
Say a big oil company owns the rights and the leases for large oil fields in the United States. Don't you suppose they also CONTROL their costs for drilling, pumping, refining and shipping said oil.
I BET companies that are drilling and shipping oil from this country are finding markets willing to pay a LOT MORE than we are.
I'd love to see this change, with maybe some regulations.......namely giving American consumers first shot at domestically created products.....Of course that would require the EPA getting their head out of their BUTT and actually ALLOWING Americans to purchase their domestic products......

********.........Get the EPA out of the way, and these domestic products will be used HERE.......The EPA will not allow most refineries to refine our oil. Those that do refine it cannot create fuel that can be BURNED here. How MORONIC is that??
As I stated below, get the EPA out of the way, and give American consumers first shot at domestically created fuels.....

Anyone know why diesel costs more per gallon that gas?
I thought diesel required less refinement than gas, thus costing less to deliver to the pump?

I'm not sure we should scrap the EPA totally,I remember 50 or so years ago when we had a considerably greater air quality problem than we have today, we don't seem to hear the word "smog" as much now as then so the EPA has done some good it seems but I do agree that it may be part of the problem... There might be some sacrifices that are for the greater good.
