Clear Violation............completely CLEAR........
* She blasts Republicans
* She calls out Newt by Name
* She talks about Obama bringing the troops home
* Oh, and they have a Democrat voter Registration Drive...
Yea, definite violations if you ask me.........but hell the Obamunists can do whatever they want :).......just look at the Unconstitutional Recess appointments.......
I didn't even bother watching it, just read the paragraph below. Making that kind of speech from the pulpit is just wrong. There's nothing illegal about it, and she's probably not violating any ethics rules (I'm not really sure on that), but it's just plain WRONG.
I think it is illegal and the church could lose it's tax deduction status.
They better get all the help they can get, cause I believe it's gonna take some big move by the man himself upstairs. For the current POTUS to get re-elected for a 2nd term, after the way he's ruined the United States of America the past 3 years he's been in office.
Of course when and if the current POTUS is defeated, the race card will be thrown into the mix and all hell will most likely be seen by a vast group of the younger generation of black American's.
I don't think people are gonna stay home for this election and not go vote this time. I truely fell that most folks believed that there was no way a Black man would win the Presidency and they didn't get out to vote. Well with their not getting out to vote, the man in charge has spent the most money in the history of the Presidency so far....
Still no more jobs, more people living off the gubment and more expecting handouts for nuttin....

What law was violated? I don't see how there could possibly be one that wouldn't violate the First Amendment provision for freedom of speech. She's allowed to get up in front of a church congregation and say whatever she wants. I think it's wrong, and I'd like to see her lose her job (like THAT's going to happen!), but it's not illegal.
Now, as to the church losing its tax-exempt status, THAT might be possible, and if they want to play politics, that's exactly what should happen, IMO.

What I;m saying (I think) it is illegal for a tax exempt church to allow a political speech at its place of worship and it could lose it exemption. You have a freedom of speech but it can not occur in a church that gets a tax deduction this is the separation clause.
Now I have to ask. How many other churches has she done these things in?

I would bet every one she attends. I also would say that alot of "Black Churches" discuss politics and how to keep a black skinned man in office.
It's disturbing to me that it is becoming a us against them mentality and I do blame the Dems for this racial divide. They bring it up all the time and it was a briliiant strategy.
These are the perceptions:
Republicans=Racial white people
Democrats=Helping Blacks on Welfare
She pushed that perception and mean't every word of it. I bet J. Wright was testifing in some other church at the same moment!:rolleyes:

I get what you mean, but what I'm saying is that it's not actually "illegal." Nobody could face any criminal charges as a result of her speaking in front of that church. It may have negative legal implications for the church, although I doubt it, but what happened there is protected by the First Amendment on two fronts: Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion.
