Hey Fishwhisper!! They're simply killing them at Guist!! Nothing but big fish on buzzbaits. Good luck ( call me,after you get home, and give me a report)
Are u being serious? On a buzz bait? In the middle of winter.

(no)
Ha! Good one. Maybe if you let the buzzbait sink to the bottom and soak 3 or 4 days:)
I’m not sure dynamite would get much out of that lake right now.
Just my opinion: Guist is a strange, strange lake. I don't know why. It just doesn't seem to behave like other lakes I fish.
It's one of those lakes that can humble you, but it's also one of those lakes that can produce unexpected results. The largest bass I've ever seen caught in KY was caught on Guist. At night. In January. So go figure.
I have also seen bass on Guist in the dead of winter school up bait like stripers at Cumberland, and get caught on a Pop-R. I haven't seen largemouth do that anywhere else.
So, Fishwhisper, go on to Guist. Tie on a buzzbait, maybe. :D
Hey Whisperer! I was putting you on, I thought you knew who this is. I can't imagine catching a fish in the middle of winter on a buzzbait. We went to Rough last friday (60degrees) and caught 5 fish , three keepers on jigs on the dock side channel bank in the mouth of Pleasant creek. Good Luck!! ( water temp. was 41)
Alright thanks for the tips guys. I'll give some things a try. Maybe I can catch a few sunday
