Just saw that on local tv! Wow!
Good lord,i hope nobody was hurt.
They say no cars in the water and no one on the boat is injured. Thats a major bridge in the area. That's going to cause all kinds of problems, both for boats and cars. They said some of the lights were not working on the bridge. I wonder why the barge captain didn't use those huge bright spot lights to see the bridge????? I also read he wasn't towing any barges---so I guess it was only the tug????? It doesn't really add up. Guess we'll know more in the morning.
I was wrong-----it was a massive boat that hit the bridge. It wasn't a tug boat it was this boat:

It carries rocket engines or something like that for Boeing. WOW!
Guess there won't be much a-rigging at Ky lake this weekend. At least not around Kenlake.

From what I've read, the boat went underneath the wrong span, which had less clearance.
They are attributing the error to the malfunction with the lights on the bridge.
I guess without the lights, he didn't know which one was the right one to go under.
Supposed to be a live streaming video from the site this morning at 9 CST/10 EST

I am just guessing here, but I know on my HB GPS it shows which lanes are which on Ky lake, wouldn't that be true on a massive ship like that? You would think this could be a combination of errors made while navigating this ship. I hope they have good insurance on that ship.
Check these out!
