Shame on Pres. Obama
Shame on Pres. Obama for his hypocrisy, his indifference, his abdication of American moral and strategic leadership;...in accordance with his foreign affairs attitude...and is lack of action on the slaughter of innocents, and those fighting for their freedom in Syria!

Re: Shame on Pres. Obama
Sounds like you are pretty commited to send US troops to Syria.
We cannot police the world by ourselfs. Been in Iraq and Afganistain for the past decade+.
Getting involved in a prolonged conflict in Syria would sure take the heat of Iran right now.
You make it sound like Obama is bombing Syrians. I hope he stays a clear from it as he can and let europe take the lead for a change.

If those **** in the United Nations Security Council would do what THEY were created to do, we would not even be talking about this.
I don't understand WHY the world does not see this as a problem. Syrian troops are KILLING civilians. Let me say that again........KILLING civilians. How about again...........KILLING civilians.
In a civilized world, this is unacceptable. Especially in a powder keg region like the middle east.

Re: Shame on Pres. Obama
There seems to be a good many of us that feel we should be the worlds police force... It doesn't seem to me our attempts at that in the past have endeared us to the world we are attempting to save, we seem to be the most hated nation on the planet... The only reason we are still here is because,as of yet,the rest of the world can't do anything about it... I don't see it as our business if a nation somewhere can't get along with itself... I believe the US would get more respect if it spent more time keeping its nose out of other nations business unless it is of concern to us.

Re: Shame on Pres. Obama
I gotta be honest and say what I feel...
We didn't cause it, start it, or participate in it...so piss on Syria. They are no threat to me here in the US. I hate it for the civilians, but let somebody else deal with it. I really don't care anymore about being World Police. Let the UN handle it. We've got enough to deal with at home.
If that makes me a heartless *******, so be it.
Now Iran...there's a nut bag regime full of crazy terrorist SOBs trying to make a nuke. That could get personal quick for a whole lot of folks. I'd rather grab a rifle over that than Syria. Sorry.

Agree, UN has too much influence in world matters and mostly does nothing. The problem is the security council veto power. One country on the security council has the power to veto any action or proposal. Then you have Russia, China and the US on the security council, like they are going to agree on something.
China and Russia vetoed any action in Syria so that would leave the US on its own. Interesting that NATO interviened in Lybia not the UN. NATO got something done.

I agree that Iran is a different situation than Stria, Any country that is taking steps such as Iran seems to be doing has the potential of being a problem to it,s neighbors also has the potential of being a problem to the rest of us who have to live on this planet, I believe if Iran continues on it's present path then it would be in our best interest to do whatever has to be done to squelch it's efforts.

Re: Shame on Pres. Obama
Yep....no need to get involved. We are not the police even though we have acted that way for years......I don't see it happening anyway with the potus hanging his hat on getting troops home from Iraq. Getting involved in another war would be a political problem.

It is a shame that we have starving children right here at home and we seemed more concerned for children in Syria that no matter what we do will grow up and hate us. Keep our troops at home. As far as Iran, NUKE'em. If we decide to keep liberating people who hate us we aught to tell every rebel we support that after we "provide" them freedom the price will be in oil. Freedom wasn't free for our forefathers and shouldn't cost us Billions and billions. On second thought, Syria's freedom isn't worth one American soul so we need to just stay home.

The problem with letting the UN handle it is that the US is a big part of the UN. The other countries seem to feel that the US is their guard dog. They point their finger at another country and say "SIC EM BOY". Oh and by the way, pay your own expenses and rebuild the country, while you are at it. There just does not seem to be a good answer.

I'm sorry, but our poor are NOT POOR.
If you have a TV, a cell phone, multiple cars, an X-BOX......you're NOT POOR.
It is a **** shame that folks spend money on this type of stuff and then collect FOOD stamps to pay for necessities.
PRIORITIES folks......PRIORITIES.
