KY Lake is black crappie dominant, and you go after those much sooner than the white crappie....
This video is VERY recent, you can see the crane in the background pulling steel off of the boat that took out the Eggner's Ferry Bridge...
I would bet those black crappie are already visiting the spawning gravel banks on warm sunny days on KY. They for real will spawn next month. I have found they can be quite fond of jerk baits in March...

Man that makes me want to go over there! The only problem is I've never really got on the crappie on Ky. I can do good on them here on Barren but for some reason not down there. Guess I've just never fished for them enough when I'm down there. I may start out after crappie then I'll catch a bass then seem to fish for them most of the day!
