Severe Weather 3/2
I know with how nice it is some of you are probably planning on going out to wet a line or two, but felt everyone should be made aware as this next set-up is covering a significant portion if not all of Indiana.
1) SPC has issued a moderate risk for a large portion of Indiana, mostly Southern Indiana, but Central to East Central as well. There is a possibility a portion of this could go high risk tomorrow.
2) The SPC expects large hail, winds greater than 75 mph, and long lived, strong tornadoes. Moderate risk implies a greater threat with a lower chance of being a bust. High Risk implies greatest threat with least chance of being a bust.
3) Timing is going to vary depending on where you live, but the general consensus is the weather will initiate in the afternoon, through the evening hours.
Please stay safe, and plan your fishing trips accordingly.

Re: Severe Weather 3/2
Just a Quick Update for Today
Portions of Southern Indiana (mostly southeast but looks like about 10 or 15 miles short of Evansville) have now been elevated to "High Risk"
Here is a the Hazardous Weather Outlook Message from the Storm Prediction Center.
SEVERE STORMS WILL LIKELY DEVELOP ALONG AND IN ADVANCE OF THE COLD FRONT BY MIDDAY OR EARLY AFTERNOON...AT THE SAME TIME THE WINDS THROUGH ALL LEVELS OF THE ATMOSPHERE WILL BECOME VERY STRONG. THESE FACTORS WILL RESULT IN A FAVORABLE SETUP FOR FAST-MOVING TORNADIC STORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LONG-TRACK/DAMAGING TORNADOES IN THE HIGH RISK AREA OF EXTREME SOUTHERN INDIANA...CENTRAL KENTUCKY...AND NORTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE THIS AFTERNOON.
This isnt something to take lightly, If you plan on going out today, have an emergency plan ready, or just be done before noon.
