The only thing below Barkley Dam right now is dangerous water...the gates are open.
Hey thanks very much Mr. Dave stewart. Saves me a wasted trip.
On 3/11 at 1 a.m. according to TVA 80,000 cfpc(cubic feet per second) was being discharged at Barkley Dam,on 3/13 at 1 a.m. the flow was 69,800 cfpc. My question is this, when is the water level/discharge "safe" to fish below the dam? I'm planning a trip for stripers/hybrids below Barkley on 3/22,any thoughts on whether I should re-think this?

I heard there were two brothers drowned below Kentucky dam and one survived they were in a pontoon. Is this true?
I believe that was on a dam on the ky river not ky lake. I'm going to barkley dam on Friday to try my luck. Hopefully something is biting
