question about Blue Licks state park
I have to stay at Blue Licks State Park for a few days soon. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any good spots to stand on the bank and muskie fish in the stretch of Licking River that runs through the park, or if anyone knows if there are even any muskie in that stretch of the river.
Thanks in advance!
Re: question about Blue Licks state park
There is a KDFW ramp just down the road from the park entrance. There is some bank fishing areas around there, but I don't remember a lot of structure. You can also get to the river on the hiking trails in the park, but most of the banks are steep and muddy. There is one place, if I remember correctly, that people can drive down and get close to the river (in the park). I'm sorry, but I can't help you with the muskie fishing or any kind of fishing in the river there--I've never fished it.
Sorry I couldn't give you more help.

Thanks for the reply. I figure that I'll give it a try while I'm there.
Re: question about Blue Licks state park
have camped there several times, there is only one spot in the park at the boat ramp, I quess that is what they call that. Like the response earlier the banks are steep and muddy. Very shallow by ramp. Have tried several times to fish from there caught nothing. You are about 25 miles from maysville and the ohio river. Take a left out of the park and follow that road untill you run into the ohio about 25 to 30 miles from the park.
