Nolin Crappie
They have moved off the bank and we picked some up in 12ft of water . Fished Fri and Sat ...yesterday I stuck a LM really deep and it died so I cleaned it .Was a female and the eggs were not close to be ready to lay yet . I hate keeping a female this time of year but I hated to see it just rot .
Some folks are already catching those big slab bluegill already on wax worms on jigs

Hey Jay, glad you got to catch a few slabs. Any of them still have eggs? All the ones I caught on Wed/Thu did and they were in 6 feet of water around brush. Heard a report of 50 caught Wed. spider rigging in 12 feet of water and most still had eggs according to the guy who caught/cleaned them.
Going down starting this weekend for 9 days and hoping they will hold off a little longer for me...
