Skip jack are running well right now. That being said, striper, sauger, catfish and perch are running in that order of most caught. Jigs of all weights and colors. Some pretty good size to all fish but the perch. Get down there while the gettings good guys.
I went today right below the interp center and the water was really muddy ,in the middle of the river it was clear ! Can't figure that one out . We fished the deep hole we always catch sauger in and did not get the first one :( !
Really windy
I went again today. The fishing was slow. A few sauger here and there and one catfish. The mud was weird but the wind made conditions rough. The water has dropped since I last was there. Around 2 feet i think. The sauger were surfacing but not too active.
