The river giveths and then does not giveth
Yesterday 4/11/2012 the fishing was wonderful.
I baited my rig and threw it out and in less than 15 seconds was reeling in my first blue cat of the day. I got that one off the hook, re-baited and again in 15 seconds had another nice 6 lb blue. Wonderful day for [U]catching[/U] fish.
We went again today. My first fish was a nasty 4 ft. gar. Then, Knute (the Heathen) snagged a spoon bill. I then caught another gar. Finally we caught several flat-heads.
It sure was a lot warmer today without the wind blowing 25 mph!!

I love me some spoonbill! Nice white meat and tastes great!

That was the first spoonbill ever landed in my boat. Wonderful looking fish that I would guess was 4ft from tail to bill the bill looked to be 2ft.:eek:).
I was too tired from cleaning all the fish from the day before that Thursday was strictly catch and release. Beside that, I've no idea on how to clean a spoonbill.:confused:
