Kentucky River in Frankfort question
Can i get down behind lock 4 and fish from the bank? If not there, then can I bank fish around lock 5? I'm trying to find a place to catch some fish tomorrow on the ky river. Is that riverview park any good to fish at? If I brought my canoe down, would it be ok to fish from behind the lock and ****, or is it too dangerous?

Erik, by all means, give it a try. Water might still be a little rough for the canoe. (It's a chore getting a canoe in and out, plus, law enforcement might have somthing to say about getting to close to the concrete.) Hybrids, sauger, drum, catfish, etc... Live bait after dark. Beats watching TV. You'll have to share the river bank with the holiday and all, but what the heck. It's as good a choice as any for the weekend. Good luck if you go.

Erik, fish below the dam. Cross the 127 bridge, hang the first right, weave your way down to just before the animal shelter and park. Get out of the truck and scout the river bank before you unload any tackle. Live bait will be the key. (I know you got a siene or a cast net... Elkhorn's just down the road. Get some chubs or wild shiners.) Don't go in the daytime unless you're looking for a sunburn or a solid skunking. Show up an hour before dark for setting up, and you should have a decent time. Hope this helps.
